Since 1995, the English Language and Culture Program at SFU has helped students from around the world improve their English for university, work and travel. Guided by fully certified instructors, you will build your communication skills, experience Canadian culture and truly live the language.
ELC is a unique and remarkably effective interactive program for participants who need more than vocabulary lists and English grammar rules.
ELC’s full-time programs give you the opportunity to study English in a university setting and build the skills you need for academic success. All of our full-time programs include 24 to 27 hours per week of instruction, including “academic” field trips, plus extra-curricular activities.
